Building a Better
Industry From
the Foundation

Through a defined outreach, recruitment, and education process, WMCI will create a pipeline of talent, connecting individuals with the potential to succeed into well paying, growth-oriented opportunities in the West Michigan commercial construction industry.

Our programs will be for new people entering the industry and those already in it to develop increased safety standards and practices across the industry. It will improve worker quality and efficiency, and address the talent shortage across the workforce spectrum so that the future of our industry is stocked with incredible professionals.

Recruiting Early for a Secured Future

WMCI is implementing an active outreach and recruitment effort that includes programs that are offered within the Institute, K-12 schools, and other community facilities in the region.

The goal of the recruitment efforts is to present skills trade as an alternative to college and to provide in-depth learning experiences connected to commercial construction.
